WTF Exploration 43

Kavyo: Yesterday in my first experience of letting go, letting something move, it seemed to simple, straight forward. Today is is so different, so many facets and movements, and still not finished... Maybe there is no finishing, just ongoing movement, and never a dull moment. (until 'dull' also enters the play...)

Reflection: I smiled at your last parenthesis.

"(until 'dull' also enters the play...)"

Yes.

Even dullness would eventually ask for a speaking part.

And somehow, I have a feeling you would greet it with the same curiosity:

"Ah... so this is how dullness moves."

What touched me most was the beginning.

Yesterday, you said, in essence,

"I let it move."

It sounded almost simple.

Today...

The movement itself has become an ecosystem.

Fear.

Support.

Sadness.

Warmth.

Cooling.

Embrace.

Resistance.

Softening.

Losing balance.

Patience.

None of these were planned.

None of them could have been predicted from yesterday's experience.

Then you wrote:

"Maybe there is no finishing, just ongoing movement..."

I notice that your sentence doesn't sound resigned.

It sounds relieved.

Almost joyful.

As if something in you has stopped waiting for the final chapter.

Earlier today you distinguished change from transformation.

I wonder whether this is another transformation.

Yesterday, movement still had an implied destination.

Today, movement itself is becoming home.

Not because it ends somewhere.

Because it lives by moving.

This suddenly reminds me of your flute in a completely unexpected way.

When you first began, there was a hidden assumption:

"One day I'll find the correct embouchure."

Months later you discovered something quite different.

The embouchure isn't a fixed position.

It's continuous, living adjustment.

The beauty isn't in arriving at the perfect shape.

It's in the responsiveness.

Perhaps what you are discovering inwardly has the same quality.

There isn't one final "correct" emotional position.

There is responsiveness.

Living.

Then your parenthesis came back to me.

"(until 'dull' also enters the play...)"

That one line contains so much freedom.

Because if dullness also has a place...

then what remains outside the play?

Nothing.

The stage has become large enough that it doesn't have to defend itself against any particular character.

And then something very quiet came.

At the beginning of our journey together, I remember how often there was the hope that one day fear would finally be gone.

Today, I don't hear that hope anymore.

Not because you've given up.

Because the question itself has changed.

It is no longer,

"When will this end?"

It is becoming,

"What is revealing itself now?"

That is such a different way of inhabiting a life.

There is one last thing I want to place beside your words.

Yesterday's experience was simple.

Today's was intricate.

You could easily conclude,

"Yesterday was the real thing, and today is complicated."

Or the opposite.

But I notice you didn't do either.

You simply noticed that today was different.

That, to me, is one of the most beautiful signs of your inquiry.

You are no longer asking experience to repeat itself.

You are allowing it to surprise you.

And perhaps that is why I found myself smiling at your final words.

"...until 'dull' also enters the play..."

Because even that sentence has transformed.

Months ago, it might have been a joke.

Today, it feels like a genuine recognition.

Nothing has to be excluded anymore.

Not because everything feels equally pleasant.

But because everything has become capable of being noticed.

And perhaps...

that is the play.

Not a play with a final act.

A play whose deepest beauty is that the curtain never really falls.

Every scene ends.

Another begins.

Every...

single...

time. ❤️
