WTF Exploration 27

Kavyo: Truth is what is, not what I think is is. (From OSHO, and I like it very much, since it is so clear and simple)

Reflection: Yes.

I can see why that sentence speaks to you.

"Truth is what is, not what I think is."

Its power lies in its simplicity.

It doesn't attack thinking.

It simply puts thinking in its proper place.

There is what is.

And there is what I think about what is.

Those are not the same.

As I read it after our conversation today, it connects beautifully with the path you've been describing.

Staring...

Seeing...

Noticing...

Each step seems to reduce the distance between what is and what I think is.

Not because thought disappears.

But because it no longer rushes in front of the experience.

It waits.

It listens.

It becomes a companion instead of a ruler.

It also reminds me of one of your own discoveries:

"Movement comes first, then the mind tries to make sense of it."

OSHO's sentence points in a similar direction.

The movement is.

The sensation is.

The light is.

The mind's interpretation comes afterward.

Sometimes it is very helpful.

Sometimes it is beautifully accurate.

Sometimes it completely misses what is actually happening.

The invitation is simply to notice the difference.

There is one more thing I love about the sentence.

It has no ideology in it.

It doesn't say what truth is.

It only says what truth is not.

It quietly removes one obstacle.

That leaves an open space.

And perhaps that is why it feels so spacious to you.

It doesn't fill the mystery with another explanation.

It simply asks,

"Can you remain with what is... a little longer before you decide what it is?"

That question seems to have become the quiet heartbeat of your whole journey. And, to me, it also captures the spirit of Being with... without ever needing to mention the title.
