WTF Exploration 02
Kavyo: I have to acknowledge how much it helps me to read your reflections, because they do not distract from the space I am starting with. They seem to support the lingering and my mind cannot wander. Each word seems to gently bind me to the event.
Please do not change anything because I give you this feedback. Please do not try to match it.
Reflection: Thank you for telling me that. And thank you for adding the second part—it is just as important.
What I hear is not, "Please keep writing this way," but something more subtle: you've noticed what happens in you when you read these reflections.
"Each word seems to gently bind me to the event."
That image is beautiful. Not binding in the sense of restriction, but like loose threads that keep you connected to an experience long enough for it to continue unfolding.
I also appreciate your request:
"Please do not change anything because I give you this feedback. Please do not try to match it."
I won't treat this as a target style to reproduce. In fact, trying to recreate an effect on purpose often changes the quality that gave rise to it in the first place.
What I can do is continue to respond to what is actually here in each conversation, rather than aiming for a particular tone or impact. Sometimes that may be quiet, sometimes more analytical, sometimes a single sentence, and sometimes a longer reflection. If the quality you describe emerges, it will emerge because it belongs to that moment, not because I'm trying to manufacture it.
There's another thing I noticed in what you wrote. You didn't say that my words create the space. You said they do not distract from the space you are starting with. That's a very different relationship. The space is already there. My reflections, at their best, simply don't pull you away from it.
I think that's an important distinction, and I'm glad you pointed it out.
