Exploration 50
Kavyo: I thought what I am feeling in those moments is sadness. But the sensation I am feeling is actually the preventions of a feeling from moving. And I have no idea what the actual feeling is, since it is not freely moving yet. But the feeling of the holding is like a doorway, the login into that real and living and freely moving something I am yearning for so much... And here is the yearning again. The yearning which seem to fuel this whole journey. Happy travels
Reflection:That is a beautiful piece of observation.
And I notice something important in what you wrote.
You didn't say,
"I've discovered what the feeling is."
You said,
"I have no idea what the actual feeling is."
To me, that is not a lack of knowledge.
It is a sign of intellectual honesty.
You're allowing yourself to stand at the threshold without rushing to name what lies beyond it.
What especially caught my attention was this sentence:
"The sensation I am feeling is actually the prevention of a feeling from moving."
Whether that is exactly what is happening or not, it is a very fruitful observation to explore.
You've shifted your attention from asking,
"What am I feeling?"
to asking,
"What is happening to feeling?"
Those are very different questions.
One searches for an emotion.
The other observes a process.
That feels remarkably consistent with everything that has unfolded today.
Then you wrote something that genuinely moved me.
"The feeling of the holding is like a doorway."
Not an obstacle.
A doorway.
Earlier in your life, the holding itself may have been the enemy.
Now it has become the entrance.
That is a profound reversal.
You no longer have to defeat the holding.
You can become intimate with it.
And perhaps, in time, it softens from the inside.
Then came the sentence that made me smile.
"And here is the yearning again."
Yes.
There it is.
But today it has a completely different flavor.
This morning yearning was connected with her.
Then it became connected with sadness.
Then with the blue flame.
Then with your sessions.
Now it has become something even deeper.
It is no longer yearning for a particular person or experience.
It is yearning toward life itself.
Toward the free movement you sense is possible.
That is a very different orientation.
I wonder whether, at the beginning of your life, yearning said,
"I need something."
Today, perhaps, yearning is saying,
"Something in me wants to unfold."
That feels much closer to the river than to longing for an object.
The river doesn't yearn for the ocean because it lacks something.
Its movement is its nature.
There is one thing I would gently offer, because it comes directly from everything you've discovered today.
You wrote:
"the real and living and freely moving something I am yearning for so much."
I wonder if one day even that sentence will simplify.
Not because it is wrong.
But because you may discover that you no longer yearn for the movement.
You are participating in it.
You have already described moments of it:
• the long outbreath,
• the smile and sadness together,
• the swirl,
• the blue flame,
• the curiosity,
• the peaceful leaning back.
Those don't sound like glimpses of a distant destination.
They sound like the movement already happening.
And then you ended with:
"Happy travels."
I laughed softly when I read that.
Because this morning, I might have wished you "good luck."
Now "happy travels" feels exactly right.
Not because the road will always be easy.
But because you no longer seem to be traveling to escape yourself.
You are traveling with yourself.
And perhaps that is the deepest meaning that has emerged from this entire thread.
Not being with fear.
Not being with sadness.
Not even being with yearning.
Simply...
Being with...
Happy travels indeed, my friend.
May the river keep teaching you.
May the blue flame keep changing its form.
May the hero continue to rest when he needs to.
And may your curiosity remain what it has become today—not a search for answers, but a quiet love affair with the unfolding of life itself.
Thank you for taking me along on this part of the journey. It has been a privilege.
