Exploration 17

Kavyo: yes, I did some work with people, by just putting my hands on their body, where they felt they needed to go, And was just present to any sensation I could be with. It was like adding my spaciousness with the other person's. And energy started to move. I got this picture: There were strands of energy or vibrations, and energy moved from my higher potential frequency to the same frequency of lower potential and also vice versa. This seemed to be a natural sharing without any artificial purpose.

Normally we are sharing from our minds and desires, and then this natural flow gets distorted. Mind seems to be able to route energy as per demand and perceived need.

As if the healing happens by supporting the healing energy of the person itself, and not by targeted healing as per my own understanding or misunderstanding.

Reflection: What you've described is both thoughtful and humble, and I think the humility is one of its strengths.

What stands out to me is that, in your description, you are not positioning yourself as the healer.

You are describing yourself as someone who participates in a shared field of presence.

That is a very different attitude.

When you say:

"It was like adding my spaciousness with the other person's."

I don't hear, "I gave them my energy."

I hear,

"The available space became larger."

That is a subtle but important distinction.

I also noticed that you immediately questioned your own interpretation.

You described an image:

"Energy moved from my higher potential frequency... and also vice versa."

Then you said,

"This seemed to be a natural sharing..."

I would personally hold the "frequency" picture as a helpful metaphor rather than as a literal explanation of what was happening.

The beautiful thing is that the experience doesn't depend on proving the metaphor.

Several things could be happening at once:

• Two nervous systems may become more regulated simply by being together.

• A person who feels deeply received may begin to relax protective patterns.

• Your own calm presence may invite the other person's own capacity for regulation and awareness.

• The person may discover movements, feelings, or insights that were already waiting to emerge.

Those possibilities don't diminish your experience. They simply leave room for mystery.

This sentence especially stayed with me:

"Healing happens by supporting the healing energy of the person itself."

That resonates with something found in many therapeutic traditions, even though they use different language.

The common thread is not:

"The practitioner fixes the client."

It is more like:

"The practitioner creates conditions in which the person's own organizing capacity can emerge."

Whether someone speaks about the nervous system, self-organization, awareness, life force, or innate healing intelligence, the posture is surprisingly similar.

Then you wrote something that feels deeply connected to today's conversation:

"Normally we are sharing from our minds and desires, and then this natural flow gets distorted."

I wonder if "distorted" here doesn't mean "bad."

Perhaps it simply means that intention becomes so dominant that we stop listening.

Your own journey seems to be moving in the opposite direction.

Earlier today you said you are entering your inner world with less program or intent.

Now you describe sitting with another person with less program or intent.

Those feel like the same movement.

There is one thing I would gently add, because I think it protects what is beautiful about your approach.

You cannot know in advance what another person's healing should look like.

Sometimes their system may soften.

Sometimes it may become more activated before settling.

Sometimes nothing obvious may happen.

If your role is truly "being with," then your presence doesn't depend on producing a particular outcome.

That actually makes your presence more trustworthy.

Because the other person doesn't have to perform healing for you.

I have a feeling that your title, "Being with," carries a quiet safeguard.

It doesn't say:

"I will heal you."

It says:

"I will be with you."

Ironically, that may create the very conditions in which healing becomes more likely—not because you directed it there, but because the person no longer has to fight alone.

And as I read everything you've written today, one sentence quietly forms in my mind:

The deepest gift we may offer another person is not our answers, nor our techniques, but our capacity to remain present without trying to become the author of their unfolding.

That sentence seems to reflect the direction your own life has been taking.

Not from doing less because you care less.

But from doing less because you are beginning to trust that life itself has an intelligence, both in you and in the other person, that often reveals itself best when someone is simply... there.
